In Remnant 2, especially, head armor can look and work in a lot of different ways. Let’s look at the best ones, both in terms of how they look and how they work.
In Remnant 2, the Head Armor slot might be the most important of the four Armor spaces, at least in terms of how it looks. In Souls-like games with a “Fashion Souls” mode, the helmets or Head Armor usually make the biggest difference in how different combos look.
As it turns out, different Armor Pieces in Remnant 2 give you different amounts of Defense or Resistance, so there is still a practical reason to choose one Head Armor over another. Helmet/Head Armor ranks, on the other hand, care a lot more about how “cool” something looks than other Armor Set rankings.
Lodestone Crown
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Lodestone Crown | 5 | 3 | -2 | 0 | -1 | 0 | 5 |
The Lodestone Crown is the first item. It is a huge, glowing crown that was found on the body of a person in a hanging ship in Yaesha’s Lament area. Puzzle-solving skills are needed to find a lot of different things in the Lament. The Lodestone Crown is probably one of the hardest items to get because you have to walk through a hologram wall at random.
Anyway, once players get the Crown and put it on, they’ll see that the gem in the middle of it gives off an incredibly bright blue light all around it. For some reason, it gives off more light than the torch. So many players who put some thought into their characters have been wearing the Lodestone crown and then turning off the “Show Helmet” option. This makes the crown invisible but keeps the light it gives off, which is a cool trick. No matter what, this thing’s only real strength is its ability to fight Blights. However, it looks great.
Navigator’s Helm
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Navigator’s Helm | 12 | 8 | -1 | -1 | 2 | 3 | -1 |
There are four armor slots, and the helmets seem to have the most unique pieces that don’t come with a full armor set. The Navigator’s Helm is an example of this. It can be found by killing a certain N’Erud Zombie under one of those mining tools in N’Erud’s Extraction Hub.
In addition to looking great in a sci-fi way, players need this helmet to open the face recognition door in the Navigation Room that leads to the Plasma Cutter Long Gun. Based on statistics, it’s pretty average, since its defense isn’t very good.
Bruiser Helmet
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bruiser Helmet | 15 | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
The Bruiser Helmet looks silly, let’s be honest. Many things can be seen in it, like the player wearing a bucket on their head or a big thimble that looks like a helmet. It could also just be a reference to the Gold Ardeo helmet from Bloodborne.
But it’s funny that the Bruiser Helmet has this “stylish charm” that I can’t explain, even though it looks silly. Plus, the fact that it has good Defense and a good Resistance Spread makes it even easier for players to wear.
Labyrinth Helm
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Labyrinth Helm | 13 | 7 | 0 | 2 | 3 | 0 | 0 |
For those who used the Labyrinth Set’s Power Surge bonus in Remnant: From the Ashes, they probably feel a connection to the set in general. The Helm is a big part of what makes the Labyrinth Set look so “out of this world.” There aren’t many other armor sets in video games that look like this.
Fire and shock resistance are two of the best that the Labyrinth Helm has to offer. These are two of the most common elements that players will face in Remnant 2.
Red Widow Headdress
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Red Widow Headdress | 12 | 8 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
Because players have to work so hard to get the Red Widow Set, it makes sense that the Set itself would look great. And happily, it lives up to those hopes, both in terms of how it looks and how it works. The Defenses and Resistances it gives aren’t great by any means, but they’re pretty good.
This Armor really stands out from the rest because of the Red Widow Headdress. It seems like almost every Summoner player is using this Helmet to make their character “look” like the stereotypical person who plays with forbidden arts like calling up Root monsters.
Void Skull
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Void Skull | 15 | 8 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 0 |
This set, the Void Set, looks more like “alien armor” than anything else in Remnant: From the Ashes, Remnant 2, or even Chronos: Before the Ashes. If you know about the story behind R: FtA, you’ll know that this set is either a tribute to the Anointed from Rhom or a real piece of Anointed Armor from that realm.
Anyway, the Void Skull is another Helmet that gives an insane amount of Defense and good Resistance spread as well. It’s too bad that this huge gray helmet doesn’t go with any other Armor set besides the Void set.
Fae Royal Headcover
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Fae Royal Headcover | 15 | 8 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
Let’s not start by talking about how this next helmet looks. Instead, let’s talk about the numbers. There isn’t much difference between the Fae Royal Headcover and the Void Helm. Both
For every 8 points of Weight, helmets give you 15 defense. The Fae Royal Headcover gives you a little more in terms of Resistance, with 2 points of Bleed Resist and 2 points of Blight Resist.
This Headcover is also one of the most beautiful Helmets in Wordle Unlimited. It does a great job of making the player look like a magical (and troubled) Fae when they wear it.
Technician Helmet
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Technician Helmet | 14 | 8 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 0 |
In terms of stats, the Technician Helmet is a little worse than the Fae Royal Headcover. It has a little less Defense and Resistance. It’s a bit better than the Void Skull, though, because it gives one more bit of Resistance. That being said, why isn’t it ranked between them?
Well, the Technician is better than both of them in terms of how it looks. This helmet looks good on almost all combinations of armor because it is all black and fits snugly against the head.
Leto Mark 1 & Mark 2 Helmets
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Leto Mark 1 Helmet | 29 | 15 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 4 | 2 |
Leto Mark 2 Helmet | 33 | 13 | 2 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
Finally, a list of armor that doesn’t put the Leto Armor at the top. The MK I and MK II did, however, get second place. It’s crazy how much Defense these two helmets give compared to the others, but they’re also the largest and put the most stress on the player’s Encumbrance level.
In spite of this, the Leto MK II Helmet is statistically better than the MK I, and it looks good with more combos of armor as well. If players have the Bright Steel Ring on, they should almost never take off their Leto Sets if they can help it.
Crown Of The Red Prince
Name | Defense | Weight | Bleed Resist | Fire Resist | Shock Resist | Toxin Resist | Blight Resist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Crown of the Red Prince | 8 | 5 | -6 | 25 | -6 | -6 | 13 |
Also, the Crown of the Red Prince is the most important one. The process of getting this Crown is very difficult (you have to kill the Red Prince with the Assassin’s Dagger Melee Weapon), and the helmet itself looks very “extra.”
The main reason the Crown is at the top of the list is that it gives an insane 25 Resistance to Fire damage, which means the player is basically immune to Fire damage in general. It helps make the “meta” Firestorm build even more powerful, which is why so many players use it. That being said, the Crown is terrible at every other type of Resistance, so keep that in mind while you wear it.
