When should we schedule a family portrait session?

A pet family portraits in Minneapolis is a great way to capture the love between you and your pet, but it’s also an opportunity to make some beautiful memories with your furry family member. If you’re looking for tips on when is the best time to schedule a shoot, here are some considerations:

  • Summer months are ideal since they’re warm and there’s less chance of rain or snow! We recommend scheduling your session during these months if possible.
  • If you book far enough in advance (at least two weeks), we can usually accommodate last-minute requests as well! Just be sure that we have space available before booking last minute sessions because we often get booked up quickly – especially around holidays like Christmas/New Years Eve where everyone wants their pets looking festive!

What to expect during the session.

  • Bring your pet and any props you want to use.
  • Bring a friend or family member to help with the pet.
  • Bring a leash if you need it, especially for dogs that are new to being photographed (this can be useful in case they want to run away).
  • Bring grooming kit if you need it for any last minute touch-ups before the shoot starts!

If possible, try to bring along something from home that’s special for your pet: a toy they love or some treats that are their favorite will make them extra excited about having their photo taken!

What should we bring to the shoot?

When you’re preparing for your pet portrait session, it’s important to think about what your dog or cat will need and want. Here are some things to consider:

  • Bring your pet! We can’t stress this enough. Your furry friend needs to be there so that we can capture their personality and make sure they look comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Bring any toys or treats that your pet loves–this will help us get them into “model mode” quickly so we can get some great shots before they get distracted by something shiny on the floor! If there’s a particular blanket or toy that makes them feel safe, bring those along too!

What if my pet isn’t comfortable around other animals?

If your pet is not comfortable around other animals, we can do a solo shoot. And if your pet is not comfortable around people, we can do a solo shoot.

It’s important to note that even if your dog is not friendly with other dogs or cats, they may still enjoy being photographed by us! We have had many dogs who were initially nervous but eventually learned how fun it was to pose for photos with us.

Did you know that Paw-sessions can also be focused on your pet’s favorite activity?

Did you know that Paw-sessions can also be focused on your pet’s favorite activity?

For example, if your dog loves to play fetch, we can set up an entire treasure hunt in which they have to find all of their treats or toys. For cats who love hiding out under blankets, we’ll hide treats around the house for them to hunt down. If your kitty just wants some alone time away from the family dog–no problem! We’ll take them somewhere quiet and private where they can enjoy some peace and quiet (and maybe even get some sleep).

The possibilities are endless! We’re always coming up with new ideas that will help us capture those special moments between pets and their humans as well as provide something fun for both parties involved during this time together at home instead of outside where things might get messy due weather conditions such as rain or snowfall.”

Let us capture the moments that matter most to you!
